HQ EVENTS
Throughout the year, our girls get to attend events hosted by Girl Guides Singapore. These events are indeed eye-opening experiences for AHSGG and guides can learn many new things from these new experiences.

East Division Day
East Division Day (EDD) is a day where guides get to compete in various competitions based on a theme such as Captain's Ball, Mini Gadget Tying, Recycled Fashion Show, Recycled Toy Making, Mixed Art, Snack Making, Cheerleading and Performance. Guides are given the chance to experience the process of working hard and are given the chance to develop their talents in different areas.

HQ Camps
Be the GIRL
Be the GIRL was a four day three night Conference camp at Fort Canning Lodge where guides got to learn leadership skills and how to start their very first Social Action Project. In this four day camp, guides learnt about the WAGGGS leadership mindsets, WAGGGS non-formal educational methods etc. and these skills will come in handy when leading the company in Sec 3.
Our guides even got to try these out by planning a Social Action project based on the UNSDG sustainable development goals which has been executed in 2019.
Camp Training Camp
Another camp the girls participated in in 2018 was the camp training camp which was a camp aimed to teach guides on how to run their very own camps. In this four day three night camp at Camp Christine campsite, guides learn how pitching a eight men tent, axemanship, outdoor cooking, horseshoe drills and even organising a campfire. During this camp, guides got to bond with guides from other schools and experience the great outdoors.

Free Being Me
Free Being Me is a programme created by the WAGGGS and the Dove Self-esteem Project. This programme aims to raise awareness on body confidence and guide participating guides on running their own projects on making a positive difference to the lives of others regarding body confidence.
Self-esteem and body confidence are important issues in present society and it is important for guides to be able to tackle these problems head on and make a positive impact in other people's lives. From this programme, guides get to learn the importance of raising awareness on this issue and will also be conducting activities to teach their juniors on body confidence.
